DANNY SPEARMAN

Danny began his musical career at the tender age of 8 years old. His father Elton (now deceased), was a guitar player and singer; his mother Mary, a singer and musician playing the organ, piano and lead guitar. He began singing in church with his mother’s gospel quartet group, The Celestial Coets, along with his siblings. It was then he sang his first solo selection, “I Made a Vow”, which wowed the church audience and confirmed every suspicion that this young boy showed great promise as a successful gospel singer. In his early high school years, he participated in and won many annual talent competitions. It was apparent even then, that he had had a special gift.

At the age 17, he joined a local recording choir founded by Jerry Parries called The Christian Family Choir. Two years later, he and a friend joined a male gospel group called Exhortation. After a short success, the group disbanded and Danny was asked to become part of another local recording group, H.I.S. (His Inspirational Servants) founded by Daniel McElroy This group enjoyed a successful career traveling and praising God nationwide; including a performance on The Bobby Jones Gospel Show in Nashville, TN.

The group recorded a CD, “The Kingdom”, on which Danny performed two solo selections; “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand“ and the church traditional selection entitled, “Never Alone”.

Now having reached a spiritual maturation, Danny’s voice has been compared to that of the soulful sounds of Douglas Miller, Rance Allen and Fred Hammond. His rich tenor and melodic alto has rendered itself to frequently requested selections that include: “My Soul is Anchored” and “Stand”.

He has ministered in song throughout his native hometown of Cleveland Ohio, making himself available for every service: from anniversaries, weddings, funerals, to mega concerts. Many have greeted him after a service to express how they were uplifted and experienced the peace of the anointing that presides over his performances. Such an anointing is only inspired by that of the Holy Spirit.

Being born and raised a member of his family church, The Pilgrim Church of Christ, Danny received Christ was baptized with the infilling of the Holy Ghost at 19 years old. Danny is now a faithful member of The Church on the North Coast, pastored by Dr. Louis & Tina Kayatin; where he serves on the worship team and is active in the Men’s ministry. Danny recently taped a local session for TBN which was aired August, 2009. He is also one of the featured recording artists on The Heavenly Master record label and is anticipating the release of what will be his first CD.

Daniel is a proud father of one daughter, Danielle Sheree Spearman, age 19, who attends a local college and seems to have inherited the calling as a worshipper, serving as part of her church’s worship team.
