Growing up as the oldest of five siblings everyone of us had to be different to be heard! I enjoyed singing and used it is a means of expression that both relaxed and refreshed my soul. My family recognized at an early age that God had given me a gift. Singing praises unto the Lord was the best thing that I could do. How else could I express my gratitude for his many blessings?
These were the answers given by Denecia Dillard; a gospel artist from the greater Cleveland, Ohio area. Anyone who knows Denecia knows that she enjoys helping others. She and her family grew up in the church and she came to know Christ at an early age. A proud mother of three children and wife to a devoted spouse. She and her family attend Mt. Zion of Oakwood Village where Denecia is a member of the music ministry and serves on the praise team.
She insists that her grandmother and mother instilled in her a desire to be self-sufficient and always give back to those who are in need. So whenever she is not serving others through her occupation, she enjoys witnessing to them through song.
According to her, "I have been blessed beyond measure to have family who have supported me and provided me the foundation on which to build my life. I am most happy singing and worshiping the Lord who has made all this possible."
