MS. ELAINE BROOKS

Elaine Brooks

Elaine was born and raised in the heart of the Iowa farmland, where she was taught from infancy about the love of God, and grew up in the church.  Recognizing her gift of music at an early age, she began studying piano, voice, flute and organ, and continued those studies throughout her education at Dordt College, a Christian liberal-arts college in Sioux Center, Iowa.  Elaine has served as Minister of Music and Choir Director at churches in Tucson, Arizona; Silver Spring, Maryland; and Cleveland, Ohio.

Upon moving to Ohio, she continued vocal studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music for a number of years, and sang with the Robert Page Singers as well as the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.  She has served as Piano Instructor at New Covenant Christian Academy, and, for the past 20 years, as Soloist/Director of the Professional High Holiday Choir at B’nai Jeshuran Synagogue in Beachwood.

Elaine states that “while I have had many opportunities to use my gifts in churches from coast to coast, it has only been in the past few years that God increased this gift to that of writing music.  I’ve written this music to the inspired lyrics of my good friend, Diane Swindler.  Together, we present this offering to our awesome, loving, merciful, almighty God.  We thank God for these talents He has given us.  And we thank Him, above all, for His only Son, through whom we anticipate an eternity of singing praises in His presence!”

We hope that the message brought through Elaine’s anointed voice, described by many as “sounding like an angel”, will bless you and bring you peace!
